This program demystifies industry for high school students through half a day of work-based learning. The experience allows students to see career options firsthand and gain skills that employers need.
Our 2026 Regional Job Shadow Days will take place February 23 - 27, 2026 with thousands of high school students visiting employers for a half-day of learning. Instead of the traditional career day visit, employers give students an inside-the-workplace look at what real careers look like across diverse industries.

Our immersive Job Shadow Days experience offers students a firsthand look at careers across various industries, helping guide San Antonio’s future workforce in their career exploration. Job Shadow Days have also strengthened the talent pipeline, with companies like Avanzar, International Motors (formerly Navistar), and USAA hiring interns who participated in the program.
