Investor Spotlight: Noble Texas Builders

Staff Reports

This year, Noble celebrates a decade of purpose-driven work across Texas — and especially in San Antonio, where the company’s commitment to service, quality, and community impact continues to shine. As a commercial general contractor, Noble has built more than structures; they’ve built trust, opportunity, and lasting partnerships that reflect their mission: to inspire hope, improve lives, and strengthen the communities they serve.

We spoke with Rene Capistran, President and CEO of Noble, to learn more about the company’s growth and what inspired its expansion into the San Antonio region.

Tell us about Noble and the work your company specializes in

Noble is driven by purpose, rooted in service, and committed to creating meaningful impact through every project we undertake. This year marks a major milestone for us — 10 years of growth, service, and what we proudly call a journey of significance. As we reflect on this decade of impact, we’re not just looking back at the projects we’ve completed — we’re honoring the path that has shaped who we are and how we show up for our clients and communities.

We’re a Texas-based commercial general contractor specializing in Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR), Design-Build, Competitive Sealed Proposals, and Job Order Contracts. Our portfolio spans healthcare, education, retail, municipal, and aviation projects — each one delivered with a relentless focus on quality, safety, and client trust.

What truly sets Noble apart is our WHY — a deep-rooted mission to inspire hope, improve lives, and strengthen the communities we live in. That purpose is what fuels our work and drives us to go beyond the blueprint. Whether we’re building a new school, creating learning environments for future generations, or stepping in to renovate homes for nonprofits like the Respite Center of San Antonio, our focus is always on building with impact.

As we look ahead, Noble remains committed to leading with purpose, partnering with intention, and continuing to build projects — and relationships — that make a lasting difference.

What attracted Noble to San Antonio, and how has the region supported your growth?

Our journey into San Antonio was inspired by purpose and guided by strong relationships. From our very first year in business, H-E-B — an iconic Texas brand — recognized our dedication to quality. Since then, we’ve proudly partnered with H-E-B on more than 100 projects across Texas — a relationship built on shared values, mutual trust, and long-term success.

Our path in San Antonio quickly led us to the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where we’ve been fortunate to support campus growth and innovation for many years. These projects have allowed us to contribute to spaces that foster learning, research, and opportunity — all pillars that align with Noble’s deep commitment to higher education and the future of our workforce.

That same purpose-driven approach opened the door to another Texas legend: Whataburger. In just two years, we’ve completed six new restaurant locations and have several more planned for 2025.

Our commitment to education and workforce development continues through our partnership with the Alamo Colleges District. We don’t just build for Alamo Colleges — we actively invest in their students. We hire interns from across the system, many of whom have become become full-time Noble team members.

San Antonio has provided Noble with more than a place to grow — it has offered a platform to live out our mission: to inspire hope, improve lives, and strengthen the communities we serve through lasting partnerships and purpose-filled work.

What recent project or accomplishment is Noble most proud of?

At Noble, we take great pride in every project and partnership we undertake, but we are especially proud of the landmark work we’ve contributed to in San Antonio and across Texas.

In San Antonio, we’ve been honored to support several high-impact projects, including renovations at the historic Lila Cockrell Theatre, dynamic campus developments at UTSA, and upgrades at the San Antonio International Airport. We’ve also partnered with institutions like the Alamo Colleges District and Texas A&M University–San Antonio to build inspiring, functional spaces that promote learning, collaboration, and community.

Beyond the jobsite, Noble remains deeply committed to giving back. In San Antonio, we proudly partnered with the Respite Center of San Antonio, helping them renovate several of their homes to better serve individuals and families in need. This effort reflects our core belief that building stronger communities means extending a hand where it’s needed most.

Each of these accomplishments represents more than just successful projects — they reflect our purpose-driven approach and our commitment to creating lasting, positive impact throughout Texas.

What motivated Noble to invest in greater:SATX?

Noble’s investment in greater:SATX is rooted in our shared commitment to regional prosperity, workforce development, and community impact. As a purpose-driven company, we seek out partnerships that align with our mission to inspire hope, improve lives, and strengthen the communities we serve.

greater:SATX plays a vital role in accelerating economic growth and advancing workforce readiness across the San Antonio region. By investing in this initiative, we’ve joined a network of forward-thinking leaders working together to build a stronger, more inclusive future.

Looking ahead, we are especially excited about 2026 when Noble will partner with greater:SATX through the San Antonio Ready to Work program. This effort—along with initiatives like the Alamo Promise—reflects a shared mission among Noble, greater:SATX, and the Alamo Colleges District: to expand access, create opportunity, and uplift our communities through education and workforce development. By expanding Noble’s Student Internship and Teacher Externship Programs to San Antonio, we reaffirm that commitment—offering real-world exposure and career pathways that help students and educators succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

For us, this isn’t just an investment — it’s a long-term commitment to workforce development, education, and community growth across San Antonio and beyond.

Is there anything else Noble would like to share with the Greater San Antonio community?

At Noble, giving back isn’t an initiative — it’s a way of life. Our commitment to service extends far beyond the jobsite and into the heart of the communities we’re privileged to be part of.

One example is our partnership with Chef Johnny Hernandez of La Gloria, whose passion for culture, cuisine, and community mirrors our own. In 2026, Noble will begin constructing three new Chef Johnny restaurant concepts within the reimagined Maverick Plaza at La Villita. Beyond building together, we proudly support his cultural events — including Oktoberfest, Día de Los Muertos, and Holiday in the Village — all held at La Villita, where food, art, and community come together.

It was at last year’s Holiday in the Village where we met Arnoldo Reyes, a student from St. Philip’s College, who was volunteering to help construct gingerbread houses. Arnoldo approached a Noble team member and mentioned his dream of one day working for a respected general contractor like Noble — not realizing he was speaking directly to our President and CEO, Rene Capistran. Inspired by Arnoldo’s determination, Rene offered him an internship on the spot. Today, Arnoldo is not only a graduate of our internship program — he’s one of the newest full-time members of our Noble family. His story is just one example of how we live out our mission to inspire hope, improve lives, and strengthen the communities we serve.

Through Noble Charities, we are proud to support causes and institutions that reflect this mission. Our philanthropic efforts include endowments and scholarships with UTSA, the Alamo Colleges District, Texas A&M System, and support for organizations like the Respite Care of San Antonio and Any Baby Can. These partnerships allow us to directly invest in education, workforce development, and families across the region.

Focusing on charity and community impact isn’t just part of our mission — it’s the foundation of who we are. Noble is honored to serve Greater San Antonio, and we look forward to building stronger futures together for many years to come.
