Thank you, Judge Wolff

What can we say to a leader who has served our community so selflessly? We’ll start with, thank you. Thank you, Judge Wolff, for your commitment to bettering our San Antonio region.

Nelson Wolff, or the Judge as most of us have come to know him, has represented Bexar County in various political offices since 1971 – including elected positions in the Texas House of Representatives, Texas Senate, and San Antonio City Council. He’s held the highest elected positions in the City and County as Mayor of the City of San Antonio and Bexar County Judge.

Judge Wolff has served our San Antonio region in countless ways, but what we’re most grateful for is his advocacy and support of our region’s economic development efforts. Judge Wolff has been an incredible leader and partner in every major economic development project greater:SATX (formerly the San Antonio Economic Development Foundation) has worked, including attracting and expanding Medtronic, Becton Dickinson, EY, Victory Capital, Hulu and Navistar. Not to mention the location and subsequent expansions of Toyota Motor Manufacturing that today is the exclusive manufacturing plant producing the Tundra truck and Sequoia – globally. 

These major projects have set the pace for our economic growth trajectory and continue to fuel high-wage job growth for San Antonians.

Not only has the Judge been a fixture in economic development, but he champions our region’s workforce development efforts just as passionately. Judge Wolff has been instrumental in supporting the growth of our organization’s regional workforce programs to provide more opportunities for San Antonians to experience and learn about career pathways in our community. He understands that by investing in our people and our place, we’ll continue to attract even greater jobs for our region.
