Jacqueline “Jacqui” Alfaro
Jacqueline Alfaro joined Alamo Fellows to find an organization that will help shape her future. Her goal is to connect to successful professionals to learn from their experiences. Additionally, she is the public relations chair at her university for the Worden of Social Work Organization and she wishes to find mentors to help guide her on the path of event planning and marketing. Jacqueline loves the diversity of San Antonio and enjoys the farmers’ markets. After she graduates, she plans to find a career in the San Antonio area and obtain her master’s degree.

Korina Alcantara
Korina Alcantara joined Alamo Fellows to seek professional development and career experience. Her goal is to grow her network with those in the community and cohort. Some of her favorite things in San Antonio are exploring the city’s museums and exhibits and learning something new everywhere she goes. In addition, Korina is passionate about giving back to the community and being a part of the growth of San Antonio. After graduation, Korina will seek a career that unites and supports the community.

Jacqueline Avila
Jacqueline Avila joined Alamo Fellows to find an organization that supports first-generation students. Her goals as an Alamo Fellow is to create new long-lasting connections and develop herself professionally. After she graduates, she would like to work at a biomedical engineering company, specifically one that focuses on the cardiovascular system. Jacqueline plans to return to school to pursue a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering.

Chloe Bruno
Chloe Bruno joined Alamo Fellows to establish a community connection with motivated individuals. She aims to gain more knowledge about the workforce and set herself up for success. Some of her favorite things in San Antonio are going out into the diverse culture and enjoying the city life it offers. After graduation, Chloe hopes to have developed intrapersonal and leadership skills that will lead her to a successful future.

Azfar “A.Z.” Budhwani
Azfar Budhwani joined Alamo Fellows to learn more about the engineering industry and to find the best job opportunity. His goal is to gain knowledge and experience through internships to start his career. He loves how unique San Antonio is from other cities and the history that celebrates the different cultures. After graduation, Azfar will seek a
full-time position in Aerospace.

Kimberly Gonzalez
Kimberly Gonzalez joined Alamo Fellows to gain exposure to the professional community in San Antonio and allow her to find opportunities for her career. Her goal is to gain experience in the computer science field and develop skills that go beyond the classroom. What she loves the most about San Antonio is the people, who are generous, helpful and welcoming. After graduation, Kimberly will seek a position in computer science.

Mohammed Hani joined Alamo Fellows to gain mentors and experience in his field of study. Mohammed has lived in San Antonio for one year and loves the city’s natural beauty and deep history. His goal is to become more familiar with local businesses and San Antonio’s culture. After graduation, Mohammed hopes his hard work and passion for computer science will lead to a successful career in the field.

Adrian Herrera
Adrian Herrera joined Alamo Fellows to grow his professional network. His goal is to find internship opportunities in engineering that will provide him with the experience needed to start his career. Adrian appreciates the unique foods, local restaurants and diversity of San Antonio. After graduation, he hopes to complete a presentable senior design project and find a graduate program to further his studies.

Deniff Lara
Deniff Lara joined Alamo Fellows to expand her range of knowledge in the STEM field. Her goal is to network and learn what business and technology programs San Antonio offers. She loves the people of San Antonio and the community’s compassion and willingness to give back. After graduation, Deniff hopes to become the councilwoman for District 1 or hold a public service role for the city or state.

Eliezer Leal
Eliezer Leal joined Alamo Fellows to grow his professional network. His goal is to become more comfortable meeting new people and gain the proper tools to be successful in his field. He grew up in San Antonio and loves the city’s culture, music and food. After graduation, Eliezer will continue his education and apply to the San Antonio Police Department.

Julio Martinez
Julio Martinez joined Alamo Fellows for networking opportunities and to help him obtain a full-time position in San Antonio. His goal is to take part in transforming the economic and cultural impact of San Antonio and connect to professionals that will help advise him along the way. He enjoys San Antonio’s nightlife, celebrating Fiesta and cheering on the San Antonio Spurs. After graduation, he wants to become involved with nonprofits that support low-income college students or individuals struggling with mental health.

Erica McFarland
Erica McFarland joined Alamo Fellows to establish genuine connections and gain valuable experience to enhance her resume and well-being. San Antonio’s diversity and outdoor activities are a few attributes Erica loves about the city. After graduation, Erica plans to pursue a graduate degree to further her research experience and is interested in careers associated with mental and behavioral health programs.

After graduation, Yairy will attend medical school to become a pediatric cardiologist and help the community that has helped her.
