Addressing Workforce Challenges Through Apprenticeships

This week marks the 7th annual National Apprenticeship Week, a nationwide celebration where industry, labor, workforce, education, and government leaders showcase the successes and value of Registered Apprenticeship for re-building our economy, advancing racial and gender equity, and supporting underserved communities.

We’re celebrating apprenticeships at our next Mind the Gap session, moderated by Chief Workforce Officer of SA WORX, Romanita Matta-Barrera, where panelists will share their experiences with apprenticeship programs, the benefits of apprenticeships, and the value they provide to employers and apprentices alike!

On Thursday, November 18th, panelists Bill Cox, Cox Manufacturing Company President & CEO and Quincy D. Harper Sr., USAF (Ret), Military Recruiting Liaison Accenture Federal Services will address what kinds of skills apprentices are learning and how they apply in different fields, what apprenticeships mean regarding the future of our economy, apprenticeship programs that are targeted for different groups, and much more. Also, a special message from Julian Alvarez III, Commissioner Representing Labor of the Texas Workforce Commission.
