Driven by an elite team of owners, managers and employees with incredible culinary, service and logistical skills, these two catering companies are prepared to service our Texas communities each and every day for decades to come.
We sat down with O’Neill’s Inflight Catering’s Owner, Neill Reagan to find out more about the companies and their impact in the Greater San Antonio region.
Tell us a little bit about O’Neill’s Inflight Catering & Signature Catering and your presence in the South-Central Texas region. How do your two companies differ?
Locally owned in San Antonio since 1995, O’Neill’s Inflight Catering and Signature Catering serve clients across Texas on the ground and in the skies.
O’Neill’s Inflight Catering is one of the largest privately owned inflight catering companies in North America, providing exquisite food for over 50,000 flights a year. Offering top quality catering and service to General Aviation, Commercial Airlines, Sports Teams, World Dignitaries, Corporations, Large Cabin Charters, Cargo flights and servicing our Military flights across Texas 24 hours a day.
As one of the only DoD certified caterers in Texas, O’Neill’s provides over a hundred thousand meals each year to our service men and women to various locations across Texas, for our troops flying around the globe. Since 2016, O’Neill’s has ranked #1 in the world by NetJets, the largest General Aviation company in the world.
O’Neill’s started as a full-service caterer in the 90’s and then expanded into inflight catering a few years later, splitting into two companies: O’Neill’s Inflight Catering and Signature Catering.
Signature Catering is an event-based company that offers full-service catering for corporate and VIP events, weddings, social, and government functions. As a minority, woman owned company, Signature Catering has 28 years of providing 5-star service around San Antonio, armed with talented and creative staff across culinary and design. Our chefs excel at farm-to-table and made-from-scratch gourmet meals bursting with flavor.

O’Neill’s was founded over 3 decades ago and today, it has expanded throughout the state. How do you see O’Neill’s growing in the future and continue positively impacting our Greater San Antonio region?
It is our goal to help keep San Antonio growing.
Thanks to recent business developments at the San Antonio International Airport, the influx of activity is bringing in more aircrafts across private and commercial flights. Combined with the region’s general population growth increasing consumer demand, we have also expanded service in cargo, military, and commercial opportunities. Cargo planes such as Amazon, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc. have expanded flights over the last few years and labor shortages have forced commercial airlines to look to more local, boutique caterers that offer excellent quality and service.
With global trends of major delays and cancellations on the commercial side of travel, passengers are learning how to fly private at a more affordable price. Rather than 5 or 6 couples flying business class on a commercial airline that has a large chance of being delayed or cancelled, they can hire a private jet and pay around the same price. In this case, the vacation starts as soon as they set foot on the plane with wonderful food and drinks from O’Neill’s.
How would you like to see the San Antonio region continue to grow?
We have all seen the migration trends from other states to Texas. As San Antonio continues to compete for business growth on a national and even global scale, specific efforts like the Air Service Development Fund effect our businesses the most. As Texas is a business-friendly state, I know San Antonio San Antonio will keep up and keep moving forward.
What made you decide to invest in greater:SATX?
When I was introduced to the greater:SATX a few years ago, I became passionate about what was being done to move our great city forward. I moved here from New York in 1995 because of the opportunities and beauty San Antonio had to offer. Having travelled through all 50 states, I thought San Antonio was the Venice of the U.S. and I never looked back.
San Antonio is where I was able to achieve my dreams of family and business.
It is my passion and responsibility to give back and keep helping SATX move forward and investing in greater:SATX is an organization that I believe is doing all it can to accomplish this.
Is there anything else you’d like to share about your woman owned business that makes you unique?
After moving from New York, I was fortunate enough to marry a woman from San Antonio. Lisa’s passion and work ethic, along with her knowledge of San Antonio’s flare and culture made her the perfect fit to be the CEO and owner of Signature Catering. Signature Catering is owned and lead by an all women team, they are strong, passionate, perfectionists and I am inspired and lucky to be associated with each of them.
