How to Help Uvalde
Our greater San Antonio region mourns with our neighboring community of Uvalde in the wake of the recent horrific tragedy. Uvalde is a tight knit, strong community and we want to continue highlighting ways to best support residents. As the victims’ families and the broader Uvalde community continues to mourn, we’d like to share several ways that you can help:
Donate
There have been several funds developed to support the families of the victims and the entire community of Uvalde. These are several verified funds where you can consider donating which will go directly to the community of Uvalde.
First State Bank of Uvalde Robb School Memorial fund is accepting donations at any FSB branch or by mailing a check. For more information, visit https://www.fsbuvalde.com/.
HEB, Central Market, Joe V’s Smart Shop, and Mi Tienda are allowing customers to add on cash donations at checkout or online, with all proceeds going directly to the victims and families of Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
Give Blood
In tragic events, the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center and University Health are tremendous sources of life-saving blood donations throughout the south Texas region. Blood shortages can prevent critical aid from being readily available to patients. If you’re in the South Texas region, please consider donating blood in the coming weeks to help ensure the region has the supplies needed.
